The bulls used at Palgrove are selected for their muscling, fertility and balanced EBV’s that complement the female herd without "blowing out" in any one particular trait. We are fortunate that in the Charolais breed the diversity of markets that our genetics are bred for enables us to resist the temptation to follow a trend. The sires on this page, we believe form a list of some of the best genetics used in Australia today from the USA, Canada, UK, France, NZ and our own bred bulls.
Our Brangus and Angus sires are selected to complement the base black females they are bred to maintain a high Bos Taurus content in our sale bulls. We have utilised the best USA genetics to enhance carcass, growth rate and meat quality in our specialist Brangus and Angus tropically adapted black bull genetics. We call our bulls developed through this breeding programme UltrablackTM bulls.
