Sydney Show Results 2010
Palgrove Panache 149 - Lot 2 in the Royal Collection Sale has won the prestigious Urquhart and Hordern trophies at the Sydney Royal Show 2010.

Panache 149 (P) R/F and her red factor bull calf by Palgrove Courage took out the Champion Charolais Female and Interbreed Female awards before competing against the Champion Interbreed Bull (also a Charolais owned by Tony Farrell, Byron Bay). In selecting Panache as the Supreme Exhibit of the Show, Judge Michael Fahey, Bizzy Brahmans, Copmanhurst said that Panache was an extremely correct, feminine cow with the volume and softness that is needed in the industry.
The Charolais pair went on to win the highly regarded Hordern Trophy, judged by selecting the best pair of exhibits from the various breed Champions. Judge Jason Strong said that the pair appealed to him for their balance, softness and overall presence. He commented that they demonstrated the perfect combination of softness and muscularity and were extremely complementary in their attributes, making them easy winners.
Lot 3 in the Royal Collection Sale, Palgrove Digna 122 and her outstanding calf at foot (by Palgrove Courage) placed 2nd to Palgrove’s Grand Champion Female in the judging. Meanwhile, Lot 27, Palgrove Estella 291 (P) placed 2nd in a very strong class of heifers.
